Agriculture, Textile, Tourism and Technology road maps were drawn at Urfa 4.0 Summit The 'Urfa 4.0 Summit', which aims to develop Şanlıurfa's potential in the fields of agriculture, tourism, textile and technology, was organized on June 13-14 under the auspices of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, hosted by the Şanlıurfa Governorship, with the partnership of Harran University and Karacadağ Development Agency.

Dr. Cebrail Taşkın, General Manager of Information Technologies at the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and Chairman of the Urfa 4.0 Summit Organizing Committee, underlined in his speech at the opening of the Summit, which was attended by many experts from the public and private sectors, that valuable names in the fields of 'Agriculture, Textile, Tourism and Technology' came together at the Summit. Taşkın noted the following: "We are realizing a first here today. For the first time, we are hosting very valuable guests in 4 main fields. CEOs of our local and foreign companies, business people, scientists, NGO heads, public general managers are here with us. I would like to thank them." Harran University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sabri Çelik pointed out that Şanlıurfa's more than 10 million land and more than 90 thousand kilometers of irrigation channels can become a digital agricultural base with the opportunities provided by technology. Stating that significant savings have been achieved in agricultural irrigation and fertilization as a result of the studies carried out by the university, Çelik noted that these studies represent the latest point the world has reached in the field of digital agriculture and expressed that they are ready to make all kinds of contributions as a university. Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeynel Abidin Beyazgül emphasized that the opportunities offered by technology can be used to solve the problems encountered on a global basis, especially in food, and said: "This is the land where humanity first discovered. These are fertile lands. It has a lot of young potential. I believe that the solution will come from here. With Urfa 4.0, we will use agriculture, textile, tourism and technology more effectively in our city and we will take firm steps towards the future."
